100 In My Pocket by Jay Crusoe
The Florida-based artist Jay Crusoe brings heat to South Of Saturn with the single, 100 In My Pocket.
Jay Crusoe is making big moves and fast. Fresh off announcing his debut headline tour, he's set to bring his signature energy to major cities across the US-marking an exciting new chapter in his rise. Crusoe's sounds blend Latin heat with minimal drums that have picked up support from tastemakers like John Summit, Cloonee, and Mau P. Following releases on the likes of Hood Politics and Materialism, he impresses again with another fresh sound on Lee Foss' South of Saturn.
The second I laid down the bass and beat to "100 in my pocket," I knew I had a big one on my hands. I wanted to make a track that sounded deep and naughty, a track you could listen to in the gym that'll make you feel cocky. I think I achieved that goal. You be the judge.

There are no frills in the chunky, irresistible "100 In My Pocket," which is built on rock-solid kicks and wall-rattling bass. The gritty percussion and warped bass are brought to life by a muttered vocal that is dark and moody for late-night menace. It's a robust club cut with a muscularity that is sure to make the dance floor move, while the quality of the sound design elevates it above mere tool status.
