Trusted New York tastemaker James Juke lands on the cultured Toucan Sounds label with his new EP that also features Gabalicious, Cakes da Killa, and Wuhryn Dumas.

NYC’s James Juke debuts on Brooklyn label Toucan Sounds with the 'A Little Lost’ EP, arriving in late October. Opener "Haters & Congratulators" with San-Fran talent Gabalicious is a playful house sound featuring seductive vocals full of attitude and sleek chords that bring soul to a heavy yet warm low end.

American rapper Cakes da Killa features on "Need A Beat," a slinky sound with muted chord work and bouncing drums baked with sirens from the streets of New York and Killa's sensuous tones. After the atmospheric "LoveTrain’s Interlude" comes "Theo’s 9 to 3" with all-around Atlanta artist, singer, and performer Wuhryn Dumas. It's an escapist house gem with breezy melodies and charming, loved-up vocals over eﬀortlessly smooth deep house drums.

James Juke is rooted in classic house traditions, blending disco, jackin’, and garage while drawing on foundational sounds like Jazz and Soul. His music looks back with nostalgia while always moving forward, reflected in his acclaimed NYC party series The Jukeboxx, appearances at Le Bain, Public Records, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Golden Pudel, and Fünk Club, and releases on labels like Nervous Records and Frappé. Alongside remixes for Channel Tres and productions for Lion Babe, he has earned support from Disclosure, A-Trak, and Derrick Carter.
