Kalipo has long established himself as a key figure in the electronic music scene, with releases on labels such as Ki Records, Audiolith, Get Physical, and Iptamenos Discos. He is also widely known as a member of the legendary electro-punk band Frittenbude, which has been shaping the German subculture since the 2000s. His distinct sound also plays a defining role in the dark disco trio Dina Summer, which he co-founded with Local Suicide.

The new single “All Things Must Come to an End” explores themes of endings and new beginnings. It was born out of one of those melancholic crashes after long nights when the euphoria fades and a certain emptiness sets in. All the more surprising, then, that this moment gave rise to a track that carries a bittersweet sense of lightness. Perhaps this is its true strength: a sound that slowly pulls itself out of an inner low, without ever slipping into forced optimism. It remains in a minor key.

Lyrically, this emotional shift is mirrored in the song's structure: While the chorus line “All things must come to an end, time won't wait for anyone” may first strike as a resigned observation, the verses shift perspective towards a defiant hope that even toxic forms of dominance will eventually come to an end. The song remains deliberately ambiguous, caught somewhere between confrontation and release, between reflection and renewal.

Musically, the track moves confidently between club culture and indie disco with a catchy chorus melody that carries a strong sense of summer, grounded by organic, punchy drums. Staying true to his style, Kalipo once again navigates the space between genres with authenticity and precision. Describing his sound as Disco Punk, he blends raw, indie-rooted energy with the darker shades of disco and cold wave, offering yet another taste of what's to come on the album.

In addition to the original version, the single includes a club edit that pushes harder, driven by a rattling arpeggiated bass line, without losing its emotional depth. Here, Kalipo's roots in new wave, EBM, and Electroclash come through more clearly than ever. Fans of Dina Summer will instantly recognise the connection.
