Architectures EP by Berzingue
Berzingue drops his Architectures EP on Pont Neuf Records in early March 2023.
Parisian producer Berzingue is on his way to becoming a key producer in the burgeoning French electronic music scene. After the release of his first EP "Quitter Paname" on Pont Neuf Records in 2022, it was only a matter of time before he made a welcome return to the label. Thirteen months later, the Frenchman comes full circle with the release of his second solo EP, "Architectures."
My work as an architect is intrinsically linked to the work I do in the studio. There are many parallels between these two fields, from conceptualisation, to structure, to material. Like architecture, music allows me to explore different genres and formats, while remaining true to my own signature.
Berzingue
Berzingue is fast-becoming a talked-about producer in the burgeoning French electronic scene. As one half of ALVA (now Calmos & Berzingue), they have been described as a "promising duo" by French magazine Tsugi. Their discography speaks for itself, with several EPs released on Pont Neuf over the years, the likes of which garnered support from Laurent Garnier and Janeret, to name a few. Add to that a release on Chez Damier's Inner Balance, and the launch of their own imprint Virage, and it's not hard to see why they caught the eye of some of France's leading tastemakers.
Now "Architectures" makes up Berzingue's second full-length solo release, placing him firmly on the map of artists to watch in 2023 off the back of his well-received "Quitter Paname EP" last year.
