Cosmos EP by Nawfel
The Cosmos EP by Nawfel, a soul-infused, deeply textured journey through the evolving sonic universe of the Casablanca native.
With a rich background in Hip-Hop culture and a profound sense of musicality rooted in movement and rhythm, Nawfel delivers an elegant and versatile three-track suite that bridges organic groove and refined underground energy.
Once a foundational figure in the Moroccan and MENA breakdance scenes, Nawfel's artistic story began with motion and has since evolved into sound. Having spent years shaping his identity behind the turntables through turntablism, genre exploration, and an obsession with musical storytelling, "Cosmos EP" marks a bold new chapter in his evolution as a producer.
"Golden Dusk (Feat. HE)" is smooth and evocative; it invites the listener into a sunset-hued soundscape with silky Rhodes chords, a weighty but gentle groove, and HE's airy, atmospheric vocals. Soulful lead synth solos rise and fall throughout, making this a highlight for lovers of emotional yet grounded deep house.
"Night Cruise" is a nod to classic deep house and the nostalgia of late-night drives. "Night Cruise" is not only a groovy, stripped-back affair, but its Old-school textures meet contemporary flair in a track that feels as cinematic as it is club-ready.
"Fight or Flight" is closing the EP on a darker and more introspective note. It channels Detroit's raw spirit - moody, minimalist, and unrelenting. It's a reminder of Nawfel's depth as a producer and his ability to balance warmth with weight.
