Depth Of Being Remixes by Fedele

Italian artist Fedele's Depth Of Being album gets reworked by Radio Slave, Shubostar, Avision, Dukwa, Ae:ther, and Works Of Intent.

Fedele, formerly half of Agents of Time, has spent the past three years carving his own path, and his last album balances the evolution of his signature progressive sound with bolder, more vocal-led experiments. Now it gets reworked by underground heavyweights, starting with seasoned Rekids boss Radio Slave, who needs no further introduction. His take on "Waiting For The Night" is a melodic gem with bright chords and rolling bass, all locking you into the moment. The original vocals provide aching emotion to what is a love-up sound.

Next is South Korea's Shubostar, whose electric taste spans various styles but is always rooted in cosmic energy. She heads up her own label, Uju Records, with Korean painter Daryung Kim, and here brings fizzing cosmic leads, sugar synth magic, and snappy drums that will get the floor standing up and taking notice.

Anthony Cardinale, aka Avision, is at the heart of techno's new wave thanks to outings on Maceo Plex's Ellum Audio and Armada Music magnet more. "Your Eyes" is a perfect example of his space-tech sound with cyborg vocals and glistening arps whinging bright above the textured bassline.

Italain Dukwa is another master of melodic grooves with credits on the likes of Peggy Gou's Gudu Records and Dynamic. He flips "Tension Builder" into a future garage-house cut with filtered R&B vocal hooks, slamming drums, but pixel-thin pads that bring about a full emotional and physical response.

Rome's Ae:ther is next and is a revered electro and techno artist known for his work on Afterlife and Crosstown. His remix of "Tangent" is a broody, low-slung groove with menacing synth loops and flourishes of melody that break out to bring light to the darkness.

Last but not least is Works Of Intent, a UK mainstay who has mastered the art of making dancing music that hurts on a wide range of labels. He shows that skill again here with the nagging piano chords and pained, introspective vocals of "There's Only One," making for an insular, indelible groove.
