Disco Stick by Silvertone (US) and Apollo (GR)
The Philadelphia duo Silvertone (US) and Apollo (GR) combine for the edgy new anthem, Disco Stick.
Silvertone (US) and Apollo (GR) stand at the forefront of Philadelphia's new wave of house and techno, united by a shared obsession with four-four rhythm and cutting-edge sound design. Together, they bring a dynamic, genre-fluid approach: Silvertone with his boundary-breaking blend of minimal tech, acid influences, and futuristic sonics, and Apollo with his advanced mixing techniques and instinctive crowd control. Silvertone's journey began with a 2000s Alesis Micron and a first DJ controller, evolving into a signature style supported by Meduza, Layton Giordani, Dom Dolla, and more. Apollo built his reputation as a DJ with a commanding presence and is now making waves in the studio. On their latest release, the pair combine on Lee Foss' South of Saturn imprint for "Disco Stick."
This track is a result of late-night partying and that special occasion where you hear an idea in your head and just have to turn it into reality. Apollo, an avid Club Space attendee, texted Silvertone during one of his 18-hour marathons in Miami, saying he had this idea in his head and it just had to be done. Silvertone replied, "on it, I'll start it, and when you get home, let's finish it" ... and the rest is history. It's the type of track that works perfectly in an intimate club setting late at night, and we're so excited to share it with everyone.
Silvertone (US) & Apollo (GR)
"Disco Stick" is pure club muscle. The bassline is weighty as it reverberates below warped synths and crisp, snappy drums. Rapped vocals bring a sense of hip-hop sleaze, while neon pads offer a future cosmic twist to a tune that will set any floor alight once the strobes are flashing.
