Thuishaven favourite Michel de Hey returns to his spiritual home with his Dreamin' EP on Thuishaven's Haven Trax.

Dutch house and techno favourite Michel de Hey delivers his first material for Haven Trax, the in-house label of Amsterdam’s iconic Thuishaven, with a four-track release rich in groove, soul, and club energy. Arriving in July, the same weekend as his next infamous 10HRS show at the venue, his "Dreamin’ EP" features collaborations with long-time friend and Detroit legend Orlando Voorn, and South African vocalist and instrumentalist Michael Sebastian.

Few DJs have shaped the Dutch electronic scene like de Hey. With over three decades in the game, his influence stretches from the early techno explosion to modern house floors across Europe, the US, and Japan. As one of the most respected tastemakers in the Netherlands, he has played every major club and festival in the country and mentored generations of artists through his labels, events, and weekly radio shows. Yet, Thuishaven remains a constant, his spiritual home and a place he’s helped define over the years through countless sets and ADE sessions.

That connection shines through here. Opening track "Move With Me (Open Air Mix)" reimagines a laid-back and vibrant cut from Michael Sebastian as a rolling, piano-infused and sun-drenched house track, before title track "Dreamin’" showcases his signature sound; hypnotic, groove-driven, and emotionally rich. On the B-side, Michel teams up with Orlando Voorn, a revered figure whose work bridges the Dutch underground and Detroit’s first wave, for two standout cuts. "Inside My Soul" is a soulful and percussive ride through classic house textures, while "Brownie" brings an expressive closer built around captivating vocal samples, immersive atmospheres, and warping electronics.

Distilling the essence of his sound, while bridging generations through collaboration and celebrating Thuishaven’s ongoing legacy, Michel’s "Dreamin’ EP" brings a fitting new chapter to a longstanding story that continues to grow and inspire.
