Dreams by Ejeca & Danny Howard

Marking their first-ever studio collaboration, Ejeca and Danny Howard come together on "Dreams," a deep and transportive cut to be released via Factory 93 on 29th August. Rooted in the sounds of classic 90s house, yet firmly placed within today’s underground, it’s a masterclass in restraint and tone-setting, built on subtle percussion, lush textures, and hypnotic vocal cadences. Offering raw, emotive energy, "Dreams" delivers a warm, organic groove that speaks to both artists’ shared passion for foundational club music.

Danny came over to my studio at the start of the summer, and we tried to focus on pure house music. "Dreams" is deep and organic, a bit like how house music was made in the '90s. It’s a track for proper house DJs that want a track they can build a set with and set a tone. It’s a sound we both want to try and champion over the next year, so keep your ears peeled.

Well-respected for his diverse and prolific output, Ejeca, aka Trance Wax, has long been celebrated as one of Belfast’s most authentic musical voices. Known for his genre-blending productions on labels like Gudu and Yom Tum, he continues to channel vintage influences through a modern lens, earning support from Solomun to Barry Can’t Swim.

Meanwhile, BBC Radio 1 favourite Danny Howard has evolved from a defining broadcast voice into a renowned global touring DJ, commanding stages from Ibiza to Sydney, while featuring as the brain behind his acclaimed label, Nothing Else Matters. What began as a platform for emerging talent has grown into a respected imprint and platform, shaped by Danny’s sharp A&R vision and deep connection to the club scene. "Dreams" signals a bold statement of intent for both artists: a return to stripped-back, groove-led house that cuts through the noise and connects on a deeper level.
