Dynamite Disco Club presents Dynamite Cuts Vol. 1

Built for the dancefloor and designed to travel, DDC’s catalogue has steadily gained momentum over the past few years. With every release landing in Traxsource’s Top 100, including highlights like El Funk Caribeño by ISHXN, Party Started by Daisuke Miyamoto, and What Is Disco? by C. Da Afro (which reached No. 5 on the Nu Disco chart), Dynamite Disco Club has cemented itself as a go-to label for selectors across genres. Dynamite Cuts Vol. 1 reflects that same spirit. One that is rooted in groove, powered by community, and committed to house music that carries soul, swagger, and intent.

“This release feels like a turning point,” says DDC founder Stalvart John. “We started with edits and Nu Disco, but both the sound and the community have evolved. Right now, we’re focused on House records that are fun, functional, and still say something. We want music that belongs in DJ crates and is representative of the modern-day sound around these genres; that’s where the label is headed.”

Farhan Rehman opens the compilation with “Strictly Rhythm”, a funk-infused late-night weapon channeling 90s New York-styled House, complete with soulful vocal chops and piano stabs. Farhan, who also handles A&R for the label, calls the journey of nurturing new talent and pushing quality music “the most rewarding part of the job.” Stalvart John’s own contribution, “Cradle of Life”, is a cultural homage to Africa delivered through an 80s-style Afro-Disco groove. Uplifting vocals and melodic ngoni riffs underline the label’s continued shift toward club-focused sounds that still honor their roots.

Nida, one of the freshest voices on the record, delivers “Where Were You?”, a high-voltage Tech House heater packed with Disco shimmer and soul. The track is peak-time ready and built for sweaty dancefloor moments, reflecting DDC’s belief in spotlighting emerging talent with bold musical identities. SourFunk rounds out the record with “Dancin’”, a dazzling debut laced with funky guitars, lush strings, and pure self-expression. Written as a tribute to feminine energy on the dancefloor, the track is a natural fit for DDC’s ethos of joy, freedom, and empowerment.

A beacon of dance music culture in South Asia, DDC has spent the last eight years throwing over 110 club events across 14 cities. Their landmark 100th event at Dots Bay House in Hiriketiya, Sri Lanka, earlier this year stands as a symbol of the label’s regional impact and expanding footprint. From residencies in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Pune, to pop ups in Goa, Pondicherry, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Kolkata, and more, as well as curations and stage takeovers across premiere festivals that include Magnetic Fields, Echoes of Earth, NH7 Weekender, and VH1 Supersonic; the events have cultivated a warm, genre-forward dancefloor community across the region.
