Etikite EP by Maltitz & Max Joni
Mobilee opens its arms to two of Berlin's most characterful selectors, Maltitz and Max Joni, as they land on the label alongside their EP, Ekitike.
Maltitz has been a fixture of the electronic scene since 2006 and, since moving to Berlin in 2014, a familiar face behind the booth at Kater, Oxi, Sisyphos and //:about blank.
His sets and productions roam freely across piano-laced Balearic house, Italo-disco and electro - a signature that broke wide open in 2024 with his debut vinyl EP "Ryokucha" on Skylax and a run of records for Bordello A Parigi, Watergate, Pets Recordings and beyond.
Max Joni, a Berlin producer, DJ and singer, moves in the same orbit, with a catalog spanning Watergate, Get Physical and Nervous Records and a voice as much at home on the mic as in the machines.
The two are no strangers to one another. They first joined forces on Watergate's "Chaoskinder" EP in 2024, a sleek meeting of electro, nu-disco and new-wave shades, rounded off by a Lauer remix, and that easy chemistry is exactly what they bring to mobilee now.
"Ekitike" marks their first outing on the label: two like-minded Berliners folding their shared love of melody, groove and a little mischief into the mobilee universe. A fresh pairing, a new home, and the perfect record to carry the label deeper into summer.
