Funk Like Dis EP by Papa Marlin & Alev Tav

After lighting up Hot Creations earlier this year with "Move Your Feet," Papa Marlin makes a swift return to the label, this time joined by Ibiza-based Alev Tav, who makes her debut on Jamie Jones’ imprint, with "Funk Like Dis" - a three-track EP steeped in Garage textures and built for summer floors, arriving 20th June.

The title track "Funk Like Dis" opens with off-kilter synths that pulse and ripple, setting a trippy, groove-packed scene perfect for peak-time energy. "Find Underground" maintains that momentum with a slick, swung rhythm and wobbling groove that keeps the momentum tight and the vibe relentless. The finale, "Bass Roll Out," drops a thick, fuzzy bassline fused with cascading percussive elements, creating a rich, wobbling texture that feels both raw and polished.

Known for his lush, groove-heavy sound and sharp percussion, Papa Marlin approaches music with a genuine love for the art - a dedication that has earned him backing from artists such as Claptone, Solardo, and Gorgon City, along with spins on BBC Radio 1. Now teaming up with Alev Tav, a fast-rising talent on the Ibiza circuit known for her sets at venues such as Amnesia, Destino, and Cova Santa for events including Space, Deeperfect, and IMS Ibiza, the pair present their debut collaboration, "Funk Like Dis" - a bold, bass-driven fusion of groove and energy.
