Funktional EP by Paula Cazenave
Spain's Paula Cazenave debuts on Hardgroove with her massive six-track Functional EP.
Paula Cazenave is one of Spain's most respected techno DJs, and her debut on Ben Sims' Hardgroove, the "Funktional EP," is six tracks of proper Hardgroove. Born in the Basque Country but based in Barcelona for over two decades, Cazenave has been producing for years and has chalked up over 40 productions and remixes, plus an enviable support list of Techno greats.
Cazenave's "Funktional EP" features 6 tracks, from pulsing, heads-down cuts to the funk-laced title track. Whether it's a soulful vocal snippet, a nifty lick of keys, or outright machine-funk, each track here has a nod to the origins of Techno, something that's been a staple of Cazenave's career.
