Habitat presents Metaflora IV Vol. 1

Habitat presents the fourth instalment of its celebrated Metaflora compilation series, with Vol. 1 arriving in late May 2026, ahead of the second volume, which will land in September.

Continuing to showcase thought-provoking sounds spanning melodic house and techno, the latest volume brings together a carefully curated roster of artists, each contributing to Habitat's distinct sonic ecosystem. "Metaflora IV Vol. 1" captures the label's continued commitment to crafting immersive, emotionally resonant club music, fusing established and emerging voices into an extended body of work that reflects both the imprint's present and future directions.

Following their well-received "I Can See EP" on the imprint, Jos & Eli lead the charge, collaborating with label bosses Mind Against on ‘Overture', an emotively charged cut pairing soaring melodies with driving intensity. Woo York's "Lose Control" dives into more brooding, heads-down territory, while Andrea Oliva's "Neon Hearts" introduces intricate percussive details wrapped in cinematic sweeps.

Contrasted by Sezer Uysal and Axelax's "Calling For More," which blends organic house textures with slick vocals, the VA then journeys into EarthLife's "Go," bringing a pounding groove and rattling synths. Up next, Tharat and shel·ly's "Believe In Me" injects peak-time energy through elastic basslines and chopped vocal hooks, before Un:said's "Isn't Over Yet" leans into rhythm-led motion with warm chord progressions.

Ivory's "Back Again" drifts into more dreamlike spheres guided by chiming melodies, with Rotterdam's Beswerda's "System" channelling a stark, warehouse-ready aesthetic through dub techno sensibilities. Upercent's "Tetric" balances a pounding low-end with striking piano stabs to build tension and anticipation, NEMSIA and SAIINT's "Power" strips things back to a bold, commanding presence, before Alessio Cristiano and Baraka's "Redux Control" pushes into frenetic, cosmic territory. Julian Koerndl's "Tom Turbo" then brings waning, war-like cries into the mix, before Gespona and Fabricio Mosoni's "Fundente" tightens the groove with more organic elements. Closing the compilation, Momery and Luminog's "Today" delivers a powerful, emotion-led finale that pairs perfectly with Habitat's sonic direction.
