At its core, the Blackbird is defined by a completely bespoke, American-built V8 engineered to deliver not just performance but character. Targeting 850 horsepower, it delivers relentless acceleration with a rawness and immediacy that modern hypercars often filter out.
Paired solely with a 6-speed gated manual transmission, each shift feels intentional, mechanical, and highly engaging. This level of driver involvement has largely vanished, yet Hennessey chose to preserve it.
