Higher (Chris Luno Remix) by Rodriguez Jr.
Rodriguez Jr. invites Chris Luno for a remix of his track Higher on the Feathers & Bones label.
With over two decades in electronic music, French artist Rodriguez Jr. has become a leading name in melodic house and techno. First emerging through Laurent Garnier's F Communications and The Youngsters, he has since released on Anjunadeep, Armada, Mobilee and his own Feathers & Bones imprint, while collaborating with artists including Jan Blomqvist, Stephan Bodzin, Monolink and Röyksopp.
He now presents his latest release, a Chris Luno remix of his track "Higher," releasing October 2nd on Feathers & Bones. Luno's remix of Rodriguez Jr.'s "Higher" displays his distinctive sound, combining emotive melodies and warm grooves with electro pulses and textures that have already received support from DJ Harvey, Nathan Goodman, and Andi Durrant.
I was looking for a producer from a younger generation who could surprise me and bring a completely different perspective to "Higher." The original is quite emotional and somehow cinematic, and Chris preserved that fragile essence while taking it somewhere else. He exactly came up with the kind of unexpected reinterpretation I was hoping for, adding plenty of depth and club energy.
