Hyped In LA EP by Manolaco
The Athens-based producer Manolaco brings groove and soul to BotaniQ with the Hyped in LA EP.
Fresh from releases on Moan, Mindshake, and Sound D'Elite, and with an appearance on Dennis Cruz's former label project MÜSE, Athens-based DJ and producer Manolaco makes his BotaniQ debut with "Hyped in LA." Across two contrasting cuts, the EP puts a playful spin on his club-focused sound, moving from the rolling pulse of the title track into the more soulful territory of its accompaniment.
The title track "Hyped in LA" opens with a rolling groove, crisp percussion and slinking low end, while "I Sing Jazz and Soul" takes a more playful route, bringing soulful touches and a looser rhythmic feel without losing its club focus - with the two cuts moving between slick rhythmic energy and more musical territory.
A familiar face across Greece's club circuit, Manolaco has held a residency with Blend and performed at venues including Cavo Paradiso in Mykonos, while sharing lineups with Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Joseph Capriati and Paco Osuna. His productions have also earned constant support from names such as Jamie Jones and Damian Lazarus, and with this latest EP, he extends his connection with Cruz's label world to BotaniQ.
