I Want You by Real Love Seeker x BB James

The musical stories of Real Love Seeker and BB James have been highly celebrated, with both journeys now coming together in what feels like a match made in the most harmonious of circumstances. Real Love Seeker, a production duo consisting of Stevie Titmus and Dan Marston, has recently released a series of EPs that display their profound abilities for pairing live instrumentation and computer programming.

Pairing Jazz leaning feels with the core motifs of UK club culture, their sound is a deeply captivating one, earmarked by a melding together of inventive drumming patterns, playful sampling features, and highly infectious melodic frequencies. 

BB James, meanwhile, has performed and collaborated with a who's who of musicians and groups, with her multi-faceted talents being in high demand either on stage or in the studio. One such collaboration was with 2fox and Liam Bailey, which resulted in the single "So Long," released in 2023 on Soul Quest. With an approach to songwriting and performing that aims to resonate and evoke emotion within people, her presence and ability to convey mood and tone have led many to connect deeply with her music.

"I Want You" is a reflection of the collaborators' shared affinities, with a vitality and enriching character flowing through the veins of the track. An engrossing jazz-laden rhythm section kicks off proceedings, which lays the foundation for a sublime chordal outlay to come into view. James’ voice then holds the centre of the track, floating with an ethereal grace yet with many layers of drive and feeling.
