It's Happening EP by Lavan

It's been a long time coming, but it's finally happening. Lavan makes his debut on SlothBoogie with a five-track EP of superb House rhythms.

The Berlin resident opens the release with "Tremendous," filled with US garage referencing chords and a stellar lead organ solo. Up next is the jacking pump of "Gwan Nasty" with its classy chopped vocals, deep house chords, and fierce drums.

"Can't Tell Me Nothing" starts off with some familiar drum patterns that quickly get beefed up to underpin the gliding organ chords and synth top lines, creating a tough jam for the clubs. "Nonchalant" chops in some classic vocal snippets over softer harmonies backed up by Lavan's rough and ready drum programming and deep sub notes. "Heard You Was A Freak" rounds the whole EP off with cruising deep chords, dreamy melodies, clever vocal sampling, and yet more classic H.O.U.S.E basslines.
