Movin' with HIFI
Jeddah-based DJ HIFI brings one of SOSA's summer favorites to COCO with her debut single, Movin'.
For much of the summer, COCO boss SOSA has been putting HIFI's "Movin'" to work across some of the biggest dates in his schedule, from Paradise, ANTS and Music On in Ibiza to his recent back-to-back with Joseph Capriati at Creamfields. Now, after heavy road testing, the track makes its way to his label as the Saudi DJ/producer's debut release, bringing a record already making highlight moments to the imprint's catalog.
"Movin'" takes cues from its title, as lively percussion drives the record from the outset. Rolling rhythms and bursts of energy deliver a high-energy club feel throughout, staying direct and allowing the drums to lead and punctuate the groove.
Based in Jeddah, HIFI is a name to watch within Saudi Arabia's music scene, playing key events including MDL Beast's Soundstorm Festival and warming up for Keinemusik at the UNESCO World Heritage site of AlUla, while also featuring in Vogue Arabia. "Movin'" marks her first official release, introducing the production side of an emerging artist making her presence felt on home soil.
