LA-based producer Chica arrives on South of Saturn with her debut EP, NASA.
A growing name stateside, Los Angeles-based artist Chica brings her hypnotic, groove-led take on European tech house to South of Saturn, making her debut on Lee Foss' imprint to close out August. Following releases on Love Hz and Tranquilo, Chica continues to carve out her own space with a sound rooted in rolling basslines, stripped-back rhythms, and memorable vocal hooks.
"NASA" was inspired by the feeling of escaping reality and stepping into another dimension. I wanted to create a track that feels hypnotic, driving, and immersive while staying true to the timeless groove of European tech house.
Chica
Turbocharged drums and wobbly basslines propel the peak-time "NASA," as cosmic synths and chopped vocals add color. On the digital flip, "Seeing Things" heads for more stripped-back territories, fusing writhing low-end, acid textures, and pop-infused vocals.
