Okaman (Next Gen) by AMÉMÉ, Monique Séka

AMÉMÉ was born in Benin, West Africa, but splits his time between Brooklyn and Berlin. He is a global ambassador of Afro house, helping to shape its future through his label, parties, and sold-out Boiler Room in Lagos, as well as headline sets everywhere from Coachella to Kenya, Bali, and Barcelona. The One Tribe banner encompasses creative expression across art, fashion, and music, with events hosted in locations such as London, Amsterdam, and Brooklyn.

Additionally, AMÉMÉ also releases his sounds on Defected Records, Insomniac Records, and many more. Here, he links up with Monique Séka, who is nicknamed the queen of Afro-zouk and has released vital albums that draw on Caribbean music, zouk, and a range of African rhythms.

Following the success of "Agolo (Next Gen)," AMÉMÉ's reimagining of Angélique Kidjo's classic song, we now have "Okaman (Next Gen)," which revitalises another classic.
