Over Again with Jabe

The fast-rising French artist Jabe returns to Non Merci Music with smouldering deep house delight Over Again.

DJ, producer, and promoter Jabe continues to emerge as a storytelling house innovator who draws on Afro, deepness, tech, and melodic influences. He's been playing records since his teenage years, so he brings a great understanding of groove dynamics and how to control the energy and emotion of a crowd. That carried over into his debut production, "Hunted" feat. LOV here earlier this year, and also the Kalao event he launched in 2022. It has since welcomed the likes of Meera, Somma, and Neon Merci Music founder Fiona Kraft to his hometown.

"Over Again" is a deep house gem that wraps you in yearning from the first bar. Hypnotic synth loops circle like a thought you can't shake, while mournful pads tug at a quiet ache beneath the surface. As smoky vocal repeats the track's title with haunting persistence, and the warm and supple drums push you forward to make for real tension between melancholy and motion.
