After lighting up dancefloors alongside SOSA with last year’s standout collaboration "Mezcal Bounce," fast-rising Romanian talent Kidoo returns to COCO for his first solo release on the label with his hotly anticipated "Quantize EP" - a trio of heavyweight tracks built for peak-time impact. A key figure in the COCO camp, Kidoo has become a regular fixture at the brand’s showcases from Manchester’s Nowhere to Off Sonar, while also joining the label boss at KOKO in London. His slick, groove-laced style, fusing minimal-leaning touches with rolling house rhythms, has made him a favourite among selectors, and this release looks set to add to the hype as he serves up one of the label’s most-requested records to date.

The title track "Quantize," already a staple in the sets of Michael Bibi, Mochakk, and Dennis Cruz, is built on snappy drum work, rumbling low-end funk and off-kilter stabs that keep you locked into the groove. Next, "One Hit Wonder" keeps the momentum with crisp percussion, warped vocals and tension-building pressure, before ‘Honker’ rounds things off with a driving cut armed with playful vox samples and a tunnelling groove at its core.

At just 24, Kidoo has already landed on some of the scene’s most respected imprints, including Solid Grooves, Cuttin’ Headz, and Mindshake, while racking up chart-topping success and playing some of the biggest club and festival stages in the world, from DC10 and Amnesia, to Sunwaves and Caprices.
