After a seven-year hiatus since his last release, "Cabal," on SYNTHEKE Records, Riccardo Noè is set to make a powerful return to the electronic music scene with his new album, "Ragnarǫk." Scheduled for release in July 2025, via EXODUS Recordings, this album promises a captivating journey inspired by Norse mythology.

True to its namesake, "Ragnarök" in Norse mythology signifies a series of cataclysmic events and a great battle where legendary figures meet their end. Noè's latest work delves deep into this rich mythological world. The album is described as a "perfect blend between raw and hypnotic techno and ambient music," suggesting a dynamic and immersive sonic experience.

Adding a visual and symbolic anchor to this mythological exploration, the album's cover art prominently features Kirkjufell, the iconic arrow-shaped mountain on Iceland's Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Often referred to as "Church Mountain" due to its distinctive shape, Kirkjufell is one of Iceland's most photographed landmarks, its striking silhouette rising dramatically from the landscape. It's a place where the veil between myth and reality feels thin, making it a perfectly spellbinding choice to represent the foreboding grandeur of "Ragnarǫk."

Further deepening the connection between the album and its source of inspiration, much of "Ragnarǫk" was arranged during various trips to Iceland between January and November 2024. This real-world immersion in the landscapes often associated with Norse sagas, undoubtedly including views of Kirkjufell, has infused the music with an authentic and evocative atmosphere.

Fans of Riccardo Noè and those seeking a unique fusion of powerful electronic beats and atmospheric soundscapes, imbued with the ancient power and mystique of Norse mythology and the breathtaking beauty of Iceland, will undoubtedly find "Ragnarǫk" a compelling and essential listen.
