Revolution 1000 by Odee X

Previously releasing as B.U.U.G on labels including Street Tracks and Nightmayors, Ryder launched the Odee X alias in 2024 as an outlet for a deeper, mood-driven take on House and Techno. He debuted on REK'D for its third release, the "Agent X EP," and its Summer follow-up, "X-Ray," in 2025, which won support from artists including Laurent Garnier and Marco Faraone.

This track is a tribute to my love of the classic Roland drum machine, I built it around the raw punch of the 909 and the new TR-1000. I kept the arrangement stripped back and minimal so the drums really drive the energy. This track has a heavy influence from early 90s techno and Kevin Saunderson.
Odee X

Odee X's "Revolution 1000" unfolds through a slow-burning groove built on prowling basslines, ticking hi-hats, and raw cymbal work, with echoing claps and subtle dub techno textures adding depth throughout. The track's restrained approach keeps the tension locked in while sparse melodic touches emerge from the shadows. The Here Comes Jah Mix leans further into dub territory, layering classic effects and conscious vocal fragments into the groove before hazy synth melodies drift through the mix, bringing warmth and psychedelia to the track's weighty low-end pressure.

Matt Edwards launched REK'D in October 2024 to release no-nonsense house music without the limitations of parent label Rekids. It has since become a home for dancefloor-focused EPs from artists including Avision, Ketiov & Edvvin, Uncertain, Rocco Rodamaal, James Curd, Denney, and more.
