Struck by Christian Prommer feat. Leona Berlin is the first teaser single announcing the forthcoming album Rhythmique Nocturne.
“Struck” channels the smoky elegance of 1960s MPS jazz records through the lens of 1990s trip-hop and Prommer’s Compost Records era. Referencing the iconic Tom Scott drum-sample aesthetic, the track layers live percussion, Fender Rhodes, and strings around a deep bassline performed by longtime Fauna Flash and Trüby Trio collaborator Raoul Walton.
In 2024, Prommer met Berlin-based singer and writer Leona Berlin, who shaped the arrangement and penned the track’s unforgettable hooks and lyrics, turning “Struck” into a left-of-center future soul anthem.
