Summer Solstice by Urmet K
The Estonian native Urmet K returns to Stereo MCs' connected imprint with the two-track Summer Solstice.
Estonian talent Urmet K is back on Stereo MCs’ connected label with his "Summer Solstice EP" on 28th August. Over the last 15 years, Urmet K has been London-based, steadily establishing his presence in the capital with a consistent flow of Melodic and Afro House cuts focusing on organic and emotive grooves.
In addition to his own releases, Urmet K has put his spin on many Afro House artists, with his most notable remix of Kaldera & Lazarusman’s "Oceans of My Mind" amassing over 3.4 million streams on Spotify. Urmet’s lively productions have won support from legendary names such as Black Coffee, Themba, Pablo Fierro, and &ME, and he keeps the momentum going with his latest outing, "Summer Solstice."
The title track of Urmet K’s "Summer Solstice EP" blends vibrant melodies with a gritty, driving bassline. A thumping kick and raw low-end sonics provide a powerful groove that locks you into an emotional journey, whilst spaced-out percussive elements rise and pan through the mix alongside soulful vocal chops, resulting in a steamy buildup of intensity. "You Know How" is a sun-drenched roller which keeps the energy of this two-tracker flowing as rich, organic percussion is accompanied by stabbing synths and alluring vocal wails.
