Swedish producer and DJ Axel Boman announces a new label, Blurry, with the release of a new album - "Tell It To The Mountain" - a collaboration between Axel Boman himself and acclaimed German producer Superpitcher.
As a core artist of Cologne's seminal Kompakt label, Aksel Schaufler (aka Superpitcher) has spent over two decades blending deep, hypnotic grooves with an eccentric pop intimacy. Schaufler's work spans acclaimed releases like "Kilimanjaro" and his sprawling, 12-chapter epic "The Golden Rave Days," alongside his collaborative project Pachanga Boys with Mauricio Rebolledo - with whom he also founded the independent label Hippie Dance in 2011.
Stockholm-born electronic artist and producer, and the co-founder of Studio Barnhus - one of Scandinavia's most influential independent electronic music labels. He broke into the international house music scene with his acclaimed 2010 EP Holy Love on Pampa Recordings. Known for a production style that blends deep house with dub influences, raw soul and playful rhythms, Boman maintains a global touring schedule including an ongoing Los Angeles residency, meanwhile nurturing high-profile collaborations like Talaboman, the duo project together with John Talabot, alongside his own catalog of solo albums and EPs, such as debut album "Family Vacation" and twin LPs "LUZ /Quest for Fire" from 2022.
Swiss wiz kid and longtime friend Laurenz Brunner is enlisted for art direction and will ensure Blurry doesn't follow trends or hold back on bold ideas. The story behind "Tell It To The Mountain," the first album to be released on Blurry, begins with a transformative hike to Sweden's Helags Glacier.
Three days of pushing both mental and physical abilities to the max left Axel and Superpitcher in a state of mind equal parts exhaustion and inspiration. In that state, they began making music that felt like it was writing itself, boundaryless and beautiful, pushed by instinct rather than thought, inspired by this overwhelming experience.
Blurry is the newly launched independent record label run by Swedish electronic artist Axel Boman. Stepping into a new creative era following over a decade co-running the influential Studio Barnhus imprint, Boman presents Blurry - a new label showcasing cutting-edge underground music paired with distinct visual arts and graphic design. Partnered with !K7 Music for global distribution and label services, Blurry launches its catalog with the collaborative LP Tell It To The Mountain by Axel Boman and Superpitcher.
