Detroit's DJ Bone closes out the year on his Further label with the "The Soapbox EP," arriving in December 2025. The release follows June's huge six-project drop, a run that featured Bone's latest album, "The End of Never," a compilation marking 30 years of Subject Detroit, new music from his House-leaning Doc Ciroc alias, and EPs from Yeti Mind Tricks, Serge Jansen, and Azucy. It also lands shortly after the sixth annual edition of his celebrated Homeless Homies initiative at Amsterdam Dance Event.

This isn't about hype or nostalgia, it's about truth. About standing tall when everyone else bends. "The Soapbox" is for those who still feel the music, who build, who give, and who never stop going further.

DJ Bone's "The Soapbox EP" opens with the infectious rhythm of "Shook Ones," where a soulful vocal hints at Doc Ciroc's funk before "Mind's Eye" builds tension through hushed vocal chops while a string melody adds suspense. The futuristic ‘Passed the Past' then brings in a forbidding, warped organ lead, while "Blessed" pushes forward with tough drum work and surging strobe-lit synths. Closing out the release, machine-funk slow jam "Under Surveillance" layers warm bass with hazy plucks for a finish packed with feeling.

With "The Soapbox," DJ Bone adds another chapter to his long-running mission with Further Records: championing music with depth, intention, and a clear Detroit lineage.
