The Trilogy EP by Cevin Fisher
Electronic music pioneer Cevin Fisher is launching a new label, Thermal Black, with its debut EP, The Trilogy EP.
At the age of 17, Cevin Fisher picked up his first residency in New Jersey at Club Zanzibar, and after that, continued to make a name for himself at some of the most influential house clubs in the world. From the underground beginnings at NYC’s Twilo, Limelight, Tunnel, Discotech and Cielo, over the years he has continued to play his records in front of thousands and thousands of people at prestigious clubs all over the world, from Air in Tokyo, via Pacha New York to London's legendary Ministry Of Sound.
His reputation as a producer and remixer is impeccable; he has released tracks and remixes with labels like King Street, Nervous, Twisted, Strictly Rhythm, Toolroom Records, Faith, Defected, Drumcode, and Glasgow Underground.
Collaborations with some of the greatest names in house music: David Morales, Danny Tenaglia, Masters At Work, Erick Morillo, Harry Romero, Layo & Bushwacka, Roger Sanchez, Arthur Baker, Mark Knight and David Guetta + many more are testament to the impact his sound has had on a generation of house heads.
Now it’s time to start a new chapter, and kicking off the new label is The Trilogy EP, a pounding peak time selection of tracks that perfectly demonstrates all that Cevin Fisher is about. Drums, Power, Energy, and Rhythms all melt together and form that unique and infectious underground house we all know and love, a sound that he now chooses to call the sound of Thermal Black.
"Rhythms Of The Unvrs" is an ode to Cevin’s early years on the NYC club scene, with a razor-sharp focus on the harder after-after-hours sound that you would hear at clubs like Sound Factory, Tunnel, Palladium, or Vinyl. With infectious chants and banging tribal beats, Cevin’s vocal telling you all about the "Rhythms Of The Unvrs" becomes the truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God!
The hypnotizing underground groove of "We Don’t Stop" with it’s infectious bassline, synth-stabs and non-stop repetitive beats that feels like uppercuts to the jaw will have you move those feet whether you want to or not, while the distorted vocal "We Don’t Stop" will assure you never-ever forget that message.
"Boost Your Metabolism" is a collaboration with long-time pal DJ Kelee. Cevin decided it was the right time to rework this track that never leaves his box and re-introduce it to a whole new audience on his Thermal Black imprint. A commanding vocal hook calling for those on the dance floor to pick up the energy of the DJ and switch gears to full F1 mode is enhanced further by actual Formula 1 racing samples over Cevin’s signature banging tribal beats.
