Vibez EP by Suman

Seoul's Suman debuts on Berlin's SEVEN with the "Vibez EP" this month, marking the label's seventh release and spotlighting a full lineup of South Korean artists, including remixes from fellow Faust club residents DAMIE and Mars Parck.

The EP kicks off with the infectious "Do U Bounce," where spring-loaded kicks and soft pads meet playful vocals and taut basslines, culminating in a warm, feel-good cut made for peak-time dancefloors. Title track "Vibez" takes a sleeker turn, blending fast, clipped beats with swirling, loved-up sounds, while a soulful vocal flourishes for a breezy deep house mood fit for everywhere from NYC rooftops to Ibiza sunsets. Wrapping up the originals, "I Don't Know" pairs ‘90s house attitude with R&B vocal hooks and rubbery low-end warmth that's effortlessly cool and full of soul.

On the remix front, DAMIE transforms "Do U Bounce" into a raw techno rework, layering in off-kilter percussion, heavy synth stabs, and a moody tension that completely redefines the original. Mars Parck then takes on "I Don't Know" with her signature touch: glowing arpeggios, unpredictable synth lines, and a crisp, emotive house groove that reimagines the track in neon-lit form.

Suman's eclectic style spans cheeky pop edits, introspective downbeat, and deep club cuts with character, a sound that has landed him on labels like Ameniia Records and firmly positioned him among Korea's new wave. SEVEN is a queer and FLINTA* leaning label that plays with the intersection of house and techno music.
