Artlab presents Artlab 10th Anniversary Part 1

Recognized as a site of Cultural Interest in 2023, Artlab celebrates a decade of boundary-pushing work with a series of four 12”/Digital releases featuring the likes of Voigtmann, Cristi Cons, and Jorge Savoretti, among established local talent. The first drop, comprising Barem, Solimano, Janeret, and Random Factor, lands on 25th May, with the following editions arriving in July, September, and November, each encapsulating a decade of experimentation, connection, and forward-thinking creativity.

Up first, electronic music pioneer Carl Finlow, aka Random Factor, serves up a fresh, modern electro touch-up to 20/20 Soundsystem's standout track "Falling," adding gritty, dubby-like textures. Next, "E.Therian," a brooding, early-hours house cut from Buenos Aires stalwart Barem, brings ethereal synth lines woven around a tightly wound, jacking bassline, while dreamlike deep flourishes drift through the mix.

On the flip side, Argentina's Solimano, featuring Furz, delivers a heads-down roller with "Melancoholic Dreams," fusing a massive bassline with razor-sharp piano stabs, tasty house grooves, and tumbling percussion. Closing the V/A, Yoyaku mainstay Janeret and Parisian duo Miroloja's "Digital Dream" oozes with cosmic attitude, a deep-breaks affair, backed by a subtle acid background and clean vocal work.

Artlab launched in 2015 as a confluence to promote global artistic experimentation with cutting-edge technology across music, digital art, and technology. Equipped with a state-of-the-art Altec Lansing A7 quadraphonic HiFi sound system, a high–resolution, large–scale LED screen, and advanced lighting technology, Artlab has hosted the likes of Matías Aguayo and Nicola Cruz, alongside a wide spectrum of MUTEK-affiliated live acts, bridging club culture and live performance, and positioning itself firmly within the international electronic music circuit.
