Blair Suarez, hailing from Manchester, is one-third of the city's game-changing DJ, production, and party outfit Mason Collective and is very much shaping the modern soundscape with his straight-up, high-impact House music. Previously releasing on labels like Deeperfect and Libero, the DJ/producer is now landing on Jamie Jones' essential Hottrax.
The fresh "Jiggy" kicks off with razor-sharp hi-hats and punchy kicks, making for a house groove with plenty of swagger. Jazzy piano chords drift in and out up top next to muffled vocals, which build the vibe and keep you on edge as this meticulously designed track unfolds. After the subtle playfulness of that late-night opener, "Tell Me" is more direct: jittery drums keep you moving while distorted bass burrows below, and atmospheric vocals add a dark soul hook. It's a steamy cut for heads-down dancing.
