UK newcomer Fifi Forte has been steadily building buzz with her bass-heavy, percussion-led sound, bridging classic house influences with forward-facing club energy. Raised on the sounds of Chicago and Funky House, she was introduced early on to icons like Kerri Chandler and Frankie Knuckles, a formative influence that sparked her deep-rooted love for the genre. Announced for Jamie Jones' Paradise In The City this summer, Fifi now makes her label debut on Hottrax with "Carnelian EP," landing in early July and delivering three tightly crafted, funk-fueled cuts that signal a bold new chapter for the rising talent.

This EP reflects a few different sides of my musical influences. "Carnelian" is a deep, groove-led roller, while "Inner Funk" and "Fly Away" lean into a funkier sound. Buzzing to have this one land on Hottrax - it's been a bucket list label for me and feels like the perfect home for it.

"Carnelian" opens the EP with simmering drums and minimalist funk textures, as a bubbling bassline flows beneath quick, rhythmic beats and grooves made for the club. Next, "Inner Funk" oozes attitude, blending glitch-laced rhythms and staggered bleeps that amplify the energy through precise, cutting-edge sound design. Closing the package is "Fly Away," where hefty snare hits, deep low-end movement, and finely sculpted percussion elements propel the track forward.
