Glide with MF Robots

Issued on their own Good People Records imprint, Glide is the joyful third single taken from MF Robots' forthcoming album III (three).

What a euphoric Afro-soul-funk-filled release it is, filled with optimism, tight vocals, and inescapable grooves the band is known for. Jan Kincaid, co-founder of MF Robots, comments: "Glide is a celebration of the unfolding of a love story. From its romantic and reflective instrumental introduction to the soulfully upbeat first few bars of the verse, we are already on a journey."

We are in familiar Robots territory here, joyful and celebratory in common with the first two singles, but "Glide" goes even further on this sonic and lyrical journey as it celebrates "the path that love can take you on over time, through the years as it develops between two people, and when it works how we can glide through what life will throw at us, as long as we are lucky enough to have found the right person…"

The vibes here, as always, are brimming with positivity and exuberance. That signature nod to soulful past greats is there, along with its modern twist that we have come to expect from this band. There is a certain nod to bands like Earth, Wind & Fire in there, but again, it's the feeling that these Robots are having a ball: singing, playing, and just doing their thing that really shines through.
