Remember EP by Truncate

Truncate makes his Hardgroove debut, with the Remember EP. The LA producer's EP for Ben Sims storied imprint comes after years of collaborations with the UK techno legend.

Truncate's first EP for Ben Sims' Hardgroove lands in May and comprises three tracks that typify the LA-based producer, DJ, and promoter's lean, powerful sound. "Remember" opens the EP with tight loops providing the groove while call-and-response keys are tweaked throughout, providing an ever-evolving and satisfying hook.

Courtesy of a slight nudge in tempo and a weighty baseline, "Remember V2" is a more urgent affair that claps and rides itself with relentless enthusiasm. The filter-funk Techno of "That Chord Again," a visceral cut that mangles its titular chords into an intense but fluid banger, closes out the "Remember" EP.
