For DJ Dove, born Barbarito Capote in New York City and raised in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Cuban parents, this album represents more than music. It is legacy in motion. A DJ since 1990 and producer since 1994, Dove’s journey from Hip-Hop, R&B, and Reggae into the depths of underground house has solidified him as one of New York’s true keepers of the flame. Inspired by pioneers like Frankie Knuckles and encouraged by late icon Erick Morillo, Dove continues to honor the culture while pushing it forward.
