AMB001-008 by Demuja

Demuja's eighth full-length, "AMB001-008," is releasing via his MUJA imprint, with fifty percent of the proceeds going to support Brian Eno's EarthPercent music climate charity. The album takes in eight tracks of cinematic, otherwordly ambient music that marks a departure from the raw house and disco tropes the Austrian artist is known for.

With AMB001-008, I wanted to step outside of what people might expect and create something different. Most of these eight tracks were recorded in a single session with almost no editing, so what you hear reflects exactly how I felt during recording. Through this project, I also want to give back a little of what I've taken from our planet, so I'll be supporting Brian Eno's climate charity, EarthPercent, with 50% of the profits from sales. Demuja

Demuja is already well-revered by those in the know. His artful sounds are a classy blend of groove and emotion, which bleed through effortlessly on tracks like "AMB003" and "AMB006," while the wispy soundscapes and spacious bursts of harmony on the largely beatless opener and closer offer a delicate touch that we've only seen glimpses of before in Demuja's works. The haunting "AMB002" is another stand-out on the LP, where Jon Hopkins-esque ambient swirls and low end-rumblings allow the mind to unfold into oblivion.

A name long in the spotlight of the global house and disco spheres, Austrian DJ and producer Demuja has carved out a reputation for his meticulously soulful, smoky sonics on labels such as Permanent Vacation, Nervous, Toy Tonics, Madhouse, and his own MUJA imprint.

EarthPercent was founded in 2021 by ambient pioneer Brian Eno to raise and utilise funds from the music industry to combat climate change.
