Synthesize by Mike Morrisey
Manchester's Mike Morrisey drops Synthesize on Stacey Pullen's Blackflag Recordings this month.

Manchester-based DJ/producer Mike Morrisey has been a mainstay within his home city's nightlife, featuring as a resident for fellow MCR favorites Kaluki for years and playing at the likes of The Warehouse Project, Sankeys, and Parklife while also heading up his own Libero imprint and event series. However, in recent years, his profile and sound have gone global with dates across the US, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and many more, plus a stacked tour of South America and sets at The BPM Festival through to Glastonbury.
Regularly receiving support from artists such as Jamie Jones, Michael Bibi, Joseph Capriati, The Martinez Brothers, and Marco Carola, he now contributes to music on Deeperfect, Moodchild, Whippin, and more, with an impressive label debut on Stacey Pullen's longstanding Blackflag Recordings.
Mike Morrissey is one of the younger guys who has a definite groove in his music. I've played a few of his tracks in the past, and for him to submit this gem for the label was really special because Blackflag prides itself on its groovy flair. Enjoy.

Percussion-led and rolling, the title cut, "Synthesize," is one of those tracks made for bustling terraces across the globe. It draws on a slick groove accented by vocal shots and playful nuances, while "Get Busy," featuring Dan Barrientos, continues the drum-heavy flair and aesthetic to deliver more material for the dancefloor.
