Body Go by lau.ra

This new track follows on from February's "Don't Waste My Time" feat. JessB and is the latest in a line of big tunes from the UK artist. Last year, there was a lockdown banger in the form of "Wicked", which followed the earlier "Get Creative". These records have helped lau.ra make her way to BBC6 Music playlists, BBC Introducing, and Amazon Music sessions, and picked up over 20 million Spotify streams. She has also had extensive support from Annie Mac and others on BBC Radio 1 and made a significant impact across the globe via Australia's Triple J radio. Next to this, the artist born Laura Bettinson has released under alt-pop moniker FEMME and collaborated with Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich as Ultraísta, as well as with Odesza and Golden Features, aka Bronson.

The sublime "Body Go" is a bass-heavy affair with an attitude to spare. The throwback vocals channel 90s female rappers at the peak of their powers, but the production all around is brilliantly contemporary. Glossy chords and sleek pads light up the skipping groove while a fat, rasping bassline props up the whole jam. Fleshy and full flavour, this characterful tune will light up dance floors of all shapes and sizes and it's easy to see why its innate energy has led it to be synced to the latest edition of the Pro Evolution Soccer game.

Self-confessed studio hermit Lawrence Hart is a singer and multi-instrumentalist who prides himself on sonic excellence. This year he has already collaborated with Alan Fitzpatrick on the huge "Warning Signs" track for Anjunadeep and now follows it up with another of his stylish remixes. His take on "Body Go" is a crowd-pleasing anthem in the making. The shuffling garage drums bring plenty of nostalgic flavors as the vocals keep on popping next to lush and warm bass stabs.

"Body Go" is a party-starting single to round out another fine year for lau.ra. The original is out on 26th November with the Lawrence Hart remix out on 17th December.
