LA tastemaker Lee Foss and Brazilian hotshot BUJA reunite on the former's Repopulate Mars imprint for "Cult Of Bass," joined by in-demand UK vocalist and DJ Franksy. Franksy's no-nonsense rap delivery drives "Cult Of Bass," its undeniable UK energy cutting through pulsing basslines and textured synths, while a hypnotic lead enters the mix, taking things to the next level. It's fresh, future-facing weaponry, perfect for physical responses and emotional release. "Stand Up And Fight" follows with an elastic low-end groove underpinning bubbling rhythms while searing acid lines slice through swirling pads and sensual vocals add a human touch to the track's futuristic pulse.

This new EP with Lee Foss represents a fundamental milestone in my career. "Cult Of Bass" started as an obsession with a specific bass timbre; I must have spent about six hours just shaping that one element before anything else even existed around it. When Lee brought in Franksy's vocals, everything just clicked. There's a tension between the hypnotic lead and the raw power of the voice that I'd never been able to achieve before. "Stand Up And Fight" came from a completely different headspace - leaner, more aggressive, more direct. Together, these two tracks represent two sides of where I am right now as a producer. Returning to Repopulate Mars with this project feels different. The first time, I was proving I deserved to be there. This time, I know I belong.

Lee Foss needs little introduction. The Repopulate Mars founder has spearheaded a fresh sound for underground house over the last decade through his DJ sets, productions, and A&R vision, alongside sister imprints South of Saturn and North of Neptune. Following their recent collaboration "Bidolibido," Foss and BUJA build on their evolving partnership with "Cult Of Bass," now joined by Franksy - silver-certified, chart-topping vocalist, DJ, and one-half of Audio Bullys.
