Excuse Me EP by ItaloBros

Italian pairing ItaloBros return to Hellbent Records with their first standalone release for the label, "Excuse Me," following their introduction on the inaugural "Hotter Than Hell" compilation in 2023. Returning to the imprint with a dedicated three-track EP, the duo showcase their ability to explore different corners of house music while keeping groove at the center. Drawing from their roots in disco, house and techno, the Italian pair balance classic influences with a sharper, contemporary club approach.

The opening track "Excuse Me" sets the pace with skippy percussion, a slinking groove and a chugging-along feel that keeps the track constantly moving. Those with keen ears will hear the distinct vocals from the track "The Party" by Kraze (released in 1988). A classic piece of history. "Suerte" takes a more dramatic route, with bold piano chords driving the arrangement alongside frantic elements such as vocal calls and icy hi-hats that build momentum throughout. The closing cut "Bajo" strips things back, pairing rolling drums with vibrant guitar riffs for the most pared-back moment of the EP.

Hailing from Scalea in southern Italy, the duo have shaped their own approach to house music, combining the influences of wider genres and sharpening them with the edge of the modern club scene. Their catalog spans respected imprints including Hot Creations, Knee Deep In Sound and Trick, with support from names including Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, The Martinez Brothers and Loco Dice. Alongside their releases, performances at venues including Amnesia and Ushuaïa in Ibiza, and Il Muretto on home turf continue to expand their presence across the international circuit.
