Grow with Küf Knotz & Christine Elise
It's finally time to unveil, Grow, the independently-released 4th album by USA rapper Küf Knotz & harpist/vocalist Christine Elise.
A seed falls into the soil, sending its roots into the earth. As it sprouts, it reaches towards the sun, having gained life experience, growing leaves and exhibiting blossoms in between - a deep dive into imminent wisdom results in intrinsic motivation to reach the light. "Grow" explores the metamorphosis that both plants and humans endure to move forward in life's journey.
Being Küf Knotz & Christine Elise's fourth album, the sound has resulted in a maturation, compiling warm embracing low tones, simple grounding melodies, instrument variation, and an increase of vocals and harp that create a golden meadow of sounds inspired by introspective reflection and time spent or the road, these sixteen songs illustrate expressions of resilience, struggle, growth, the importance of nurturing self, and valuable life lessons.
Named Philadelphia Magazine's Best Rapper of 2022 and 1 of 10 New Jersey Artists to watch, Küf Knotz (Producer/MC) and Christine Elise (Harpist/Vocalist) connected with a similar mission to create positive, forward-thinking music fusing the boom bap era and lo-fi-inspired beats supported by the harp. And you can dance to it! Exemplifying their diverse reach, the duo has opened for Say She She, Wyclef Jean, Rising Appalachia, Digable Planets, Slick Rick, Wax Tailor (US Tour Support), Liniker (Brazil) and have been featured on NPR Music and BBC 6 Music.
