You & I by Sommerfeldt

Oslo artist Sommerfeldt returns to Paper Recordings for another slice of Scandi-house featuring the vocals of Sigmund Floyd and Nora.

This latest offering from the Norwegian artist opens with "Colours", a record that again sees him paired with Sigmund Floyd. The pair's recent outing on Badabing Diskos received broad critical acclaim and support from PBR Streetgang, Sean Johnston, diskJokke, and more. Here they return in fine form with a warm and inviting slice of deep House music that marries spacious melodies, restrained percussion, and Floyd's truly enticing vocal performance. The track is a hypnotizing affair that draws you in as smoothly as silk. The track is revisited at the end of the package with an ambient revision that does precisely what you would expect from the title.

The other original offering sees Sommerfelt join forces with Nora for the heady and Balearic "You & I". Once again, subtle melodic elements are draped over a delightfully deep rhythm section, providing the perfect soundbed for the intoxicating vocals.

Sommerfeldt has been providing a mesmerizing soundtrack for over a decade, releasing on labels including Prins Thomas' Full Pupp, Badabing Diskos, Beatservice, and, of course, Paper Recordings. He has remixed artists such as Amp Fiddler and Way Out West and has been a consistent figure in Oslo's club circuit for many years.
