Andalucia EP by Sam Holland

This creatively adventurous new release comes hot on the heels of his last, the "Body Rush EP," which was a big hit on national radio. It was made Sarah Story's Future Dance Track ID, and Sam served up a Peak Time Mix for the taste-making host while Pete Tong and Danny Howard also supported it. It's the latest in a long line of success that has come on labels like Four Thirty Two, Mele's Club Bad, and Knee Deep In Sound, all of which mix up disco, house, and 90s tribal sounds.

The steamy opener "Alchemy" slowly builds the intensity with rising synth leads and percussive grooves that lift you off your feet. Wailing vocals arrive to add to the ethereal feel, and a majestic breakdown features lush chord work and spine-tingling keys that bring the emotion.

The equally impactful "Andalucia" is another multi-layered track with glistening synths and intelligent use of vocals to bring bubbling energy to the dance floor. The loopy drums keep you locked as the synths evolve, and another dramatic breakdown is lit up by melodies full of meaning and emotional intensity before the groove kicks again.
