DEAS delivers the Fear EP

CLR welcomes back the label staple DEAS for the Fear EP, where he yet again shows his skills with significant effect.

Following three stellar outings on Chris Liebing's CLR imprint, DEAS returns to the label with the "Fear EP." For this release, the Greece-born Polish artist excellently demonstrates the use of tension in his music, with the title track building in energy through rolling bass and rhythm, counterbalanced by the sudden, imposing strikes of a string instrument.

The industrial "Are You Sure?" continues, featuring cavernous dub hits and hammering kickdrums, before the slicing synths in "Dice" echo relentlessly throughout its clever arrangement. Last in line, "Koma" then closes out this quality techno offering from the Planet Rhythm, Arts, and ara artist, growing in intensity via distorted grooves marked by tripped-out claps and DEAS' signature use of suspenseful melodies.
