Get Creative by lau.ra and Nova

DJ, producer and vocalist Laura Bettinson is rapidly becoming one of 2020's breakthrough artists with her newly minted lau.ra moniker, adding to her existing credentials as one part of an alternative electronic act, Ultraísta with Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and her own alt-pop alias FEMME. lau.ra has also recently collaborated on a new project between Odesza and Golden Features called BRONSON. She has been a firm fixture across international media in recent months as well as receiving support from some of the biggest names in the industry including Annie Mac, who dubbed the London-based talent as a "one-woman powerhouse".

lau.ra's recent single "Sideways" has been something of a sensation, hitting Mixmag's "Big Tunes" and getting itself stuck on virtual repeat on BBC6 Music. Now she returns with a follow up that has equal clout in the form of "Get Creative".

This latest single sees lau.ra join forces with East London singer-songwriter Nova, also known as Nova Newland, a performer with a distinctive, gender-defying voice who featured on Laura's 2018 FEMME record "Be Shy" and who has a string of exciting projects lined up for 2020. Their latest musical pairing, "Get Creative" is a bass-driven, twisted electronic workout, that is part alternative pop, part dark, bass house offering, and is another surefire dancefloor winner.

The original is complemented by a brilliant remix from rising stars Cousn who delivers an inventive reworking fuelled by a classic breakbeat rhythm track and featuring a slowed down midsection that is sure to get listeners into a lather.

This is another gem from lau.ra that is certain to further cement her position as one of 2020's crossover stars.
