How No (Âme Remix) by Stereocalypse feat. Irvine Welsh
Innervisions' Âme remixes Stereocalypse and Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh's, How No, on Stolen Goods Records.

Innervisions founders Âme remix Stereocalypse and Irvine Welsh's "How No" on Lele Sacchi's Stolen Goods Records this March. The German duo infuses the original with a distinct melodic edge, adding a pulsating bassline and bold arpeggios and turning up the scale of Trainspotting author Welsh's inimitable vocals.
Stereocalypse consists of Olderic and Andrea Doria and is a project with a love of analogue flavours and modern sounds. In a short time, they have made their mark with remixes for WhoMadeWho and Agoria and EPs for Âme's Innervisions label, Gerd Janson's Running Back, and their own Edita imprint. Through their manager, the Neapolitan promoter and writer Augusto Penna, they have linked up with Irvine Welsh, the cult writer behind the epic Transpotting and a long-time countercultural figure with ties to the acid house scene.
Created through rapid collaborative sessions, Stereocalypse's psyched-out synths and feel for chugging rhythms bore fruit to "How No" on Stolen Goods Records. It's a brilliantly twisted track that recalls the sound of the limitless electronic music typical of the 1990s. Its pulsating bass and powerful groove accompany Irvine Welsh's raw, guttural vocals and dark lyrics, returning to electronic music after only ever appearing in a song once for Primal Scream's "The Big Man And The Scream Team Meet The Barmy Army Uptown" in 1997.
