With the title cut already in heavy rotation for Schak, Hannah Laing, and label boss Patrick Topping himself, Merseyside-based Matt Hibbert makes his smash debut on Trick sporting his pumping, Euro-influenced sounds across his "Move Ya Waistline EP," featuring veteran UK artist Pianoman on the digital flip, who has credits on acclaimed labels from Ministry Of Sound to Sony.
I loved the late 90s Dutch house sound growing up, the big synths and bouncy basslines. I tried to make something that wouldn't have sounded out of place if you were crate-digging in a record shop in Liverpool in 1998. It's a special release to me not just because it's the first record I've signed to my dream label, but it's basically a love letter to the music I grew up listening to.
